Dear MIT Sloan Students,
With a busy flu season and the new coronavirus, COVID-19, we offer our support and advice for staying healthy and reducing the spread of illness.
If you are sick with the flu or have been asked by MIT to self-isolate to avoid spreading illness, the CDO offers the following resources, advice, and support:
- In-person Interviews and Recruiting Activities– Students in self-isolation must suspend all in-person recruiting activities, including in-person interviews and networking events. Please reschedule any in-person interviews you may have directly with the employer. Employers should be accommodating and understanding about students’ need to reschedule interviews during this time. If you need guidance, a CDO advisor can help you navigate this process.
- Virtual Career Advising– The CDO continues to support you in your career search and goals, and career advisors are available to connect with you via email, phone, Zoom, or Skype. Sign up for virtual advising through Career Central. We are here for you!
- CDO Workshops, Events, or Conferences– Students in self-isolation must not attend any in-person CDO workshops, networking events, career fairs, or conferences. Relevant materials from CDO workshops will be posted on Your CDO following sessions for reference. If you have any questions about a topic, reach out to a CDO advisor or sign up for virtual advising. We can help make sure you don’t miss out on important career information and connections.
If you are unsure who to contact for career-related questions, please reach out to the CDO at 617-253-6149 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Even if you are feeling well, we encourage all students to reduce the spread of illness by avoiding shaking hands, and by washing your hands frequently and using hand sanitizer.
If you are seeking medical guidance, please remember to consult MIT Medical for the latest developments and advice.
Wishing you good health,
The Career Development Office
