In an effort to reduce the potential spread of COVID-19 and ensure the safety of our students and community, we have set up the virtual Career Development Office and have moved all CDO services online. We are eager to support your job search and career success, whether you are in an active search or managing some new uncertainties due to current events. We know these are unprecedented times, and we are committed to helping you navigate this situation.
CDO Front Desk: Our Front Desk is now virtual. If you have general questions about resources, Career Central, or advising, or you are unsure who to contact with your questions, you can reach our team by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Alyssa or Anna will respond directly or connect you with an advisor or staff member who can help you.
Virtual Career Advising: As of today, all advising appointments in Career Central have been changed to virtual advising appointments. If you have an existing appointment, an advisor will be in touch to set up a Zoom, Skype, or phone session. When you sign up for a new appointment, you will be asked to indicate your preference of Zoom, Skype, or phone and additional contact information.

MIT Sloan Career Fair: The Career Fair on April 2 has been moved to a virtual format. To register for virtual career fair chats, login to Career Central and click “Company Events” on the left. You will see a list of confirmed career fair employers to select from. Please choose a time slot for each employer you are interested in speaking with (be sure you don’t double book with another employer). Before the fair, you will receive a list of Zoom links for each company. Please be sure to arrive “on time” for your virtual chat, and if you can no longer attend your virtual chat, please cancel right away so another student can take your spot. The last day to cancel is April 1 by 5:00 pm.
Check back into Career Central regularly as we will be adding more employers to the fair on a regular basis. If you have any questions about the virtual career fair chats, please email email@example.com.
International Students: Please see the ISO’s Spring Announcement (last updated March 11), with information about visas, travel restrictions, and their service updates. The International Students Office (ISO) will continue to provide services to students, throughout the Spring 2020 semester and beyond, even in the event that the physical office has to be closed. ISO Staff will continue to be available to students remotely.

As an additional resource, MIT offers counseling and mental health support for students feeling overwhelmed or in distress, and we hope you will to reach out to them if you need these services.
