Event: 2020 Women in Alternative Investments Virtual Career Forum

Date & Time: November 10-13, 2020 (Event Brochure & Agenda)

Location: Virtual

Description: The headlines and studies are pervasive on the gender gap in the alternatives industry and the value of diversity. The WAVE Career Forum will provide a platform for young women to learn, engage and network with industry veterans while also efficiently helping employers solve the continued issue of finding qualified female candidates across all levels of experience within the alternatives industry. This will be the fourth time that the Women’s Association of Venture and Equity (WAVE) has hosted the event and we expect 400+ attendees (approximately half candidates, half industry professionals).

The Fourth Annual Forum will be held virtually on Tuesday, November 10 through Friday, November 13, 2020. The format will consist of panels, roundtables, and an Expo where students can speak with companies currently looking to hire.  Companies in attendance are expected to include private equity and venture capital firms, hedge funds, limited partners, investment banks, placement agents, and other firms within the alternatives industry.

Application Criteria: Female students currently in undergraduate or graduate programs or those that have graduated in prior 3 years are welcome to apply.

Key Application Dates and Process:

  • Application period will open Monday, August 31st 2020
  • Application period will close Friday, September 25th 2020
  • Acceptance notifications will occur on or prior to Friday, October 16th 2020 (note that preference may be given for candidates that apply earlier in application period)
  • To apply: https://women-wave.org/meetinginfo.php?id=61&ts=1595448052

Unfortunately given the high volume of candidates that WAVE receives for this event, WAVE cannot provide feedback on submissions that were not accepted.  Candidates that are unavailable to attend the event are still encouraged to submit an application as all resumes will be included in a resume book provided to sponsors.
