The MIT Sloan Product and Tech Conference is an annual, student-led event that connects product leaders, innovators, and professionals from top tech companies and high-growth startups. This dynamic conference tackles the most pressing challenges and exciting opportunities in technology and product management through thought-provoking panel discussions, inspiring keynotes, and engaging interactive sessions. Attendees can also participate in a Google-sponsored hackathon, targeted recruiting events, networking dinners, and other thoughtfully curated experiences designed to foster meaningful connections and collaboration between students and industry experts. Market Updates
- The tech sector on the East Coast continues to grow, with significant hiring in AI, Cybersecurity, and Cloud Computing.
- Both established tech giants and high-growth startups are actively recruiting. Recent examples of hiring organizations include IBM, Datadog, HubSpot, and Toast.
- Fintech is another area with significant growth and the ER&R team met with several new companies at Fintech Meetup in Las Vegas (March 10-13). Two emerging companies highlighted at the show. Baselayer & Footprint are coming to the Career Fair on 4/9.
- Featured full-time roles: TextNow, which has a Staff Product Manager- Trust & Safety role posted, and PreVail, a PSG Equity backed cybersecurity company, which has a Product Marketing Manager role posted.
- Featured internships: Product Management MBA Intern, AV Simulation at NVIDIA and MBA Product Manager Intern at Crowdstrike.

- Alumni Advisors are MIT alums across the Institute who have volunteered to speak with and help students in their job search. In the Alumni Advisors Hub, you can search using keywords and narrow them down by function, industry, geography, and more. You can also filter down to those offering career advice such as mock and case interviews, resumes reviews, or general career conversations. As of Feb 2025, there are over 50 alumni who are available to talk about Product Management and over 500 working in tech!
