For your resume: Until you receive grades from your MFin courses, do NOT include a GPA for MFin on your resume. After you have received your Summer Term grades, if you would like to update your resume for the MFin Resume Database to include your MFin GPA, you will have that opportunity. Ultimately, it’s up to you to decide whether to dedicate space on your resume to your GPA. We recommend including your MFin GPA only if it is 4.7 or higher.
For job applications: Most job applications will ask for your GPA from MIT. Until you receive a GPA from MIT, we recommend that you include your undergraduate GPA on your job applications and add a note (usually there is a free-text field in the application) that clarifies you included your undergraduate GPA since you will not have a GPA from MIT until the completion of Summer Term. We do not recommend that you leave the GPA for MIT as blank or write “0” because the system is likely to automatically discard your application if it interprets your GPA to be less than the required minimum GPA.
