Visiting Cambridge & Boston: Hotels & Restaurants

MIT’s Preferred Hotels: MIT has negotiated agreements with a selection of local hotels that we are able to offer visitors to our campus.

Local Restaurants: Kendall Square and the Boston area offer a variety of amazing restaurants. Click to see a List of Restaurants near MIT (zoom in to see more). Shy Bird, Commonwealth, Glass House are popular dinner spots. Other popular grab-and-go or casual restaurants include: Za Cambridge (pizza), B. Good (burgers, bowls), Dumpling Daughter (dumplings and more), and CAVA (Mediterranean bowls). All are within a 5 minute walk of the Kendall Square subway stop.


Parking and Transportation

We strongly recommend public transportation during your visit to Cambridge as an easy and cost-effective option for getting to the MIT campus.

The following public parking facilities are closest to MIT Sloan may be used by vendors, visitors, and others who have business with MIT but who do not have an MIT parking permit.
