CIM Group, a Los Angeles-based real estate and infrastructure private equity firm is offering a Summer Associate Vice President (AVP) position. The Summer AVP will be based in CIM’s headquarters in Los Angeles.
The Summer AVP’s responsibilities and experience will mirror those of the full-time AVP who has central responsibility for coordinating all aspects of an investment, including evaluating and closing transactions, and managing owned assets.
CIM invests in top tier metropolitan markets across a variety of property types, including but not limited to, retail, office, hotel, for-rent and for-sale residential, entertainment/media, parking, signage, infrastructure, and infill land development. CIM invests through direct acquisitions, joint venture investments, and public-private partnerships. As an Investments team member, the AVP position is a generalist role where the AVP works across all asset types, the capital stack, and investment platforms.
We seek a self-motivated, hard-working individual with investment experience and excellent academic performance. Candidates should demonstrate a strong quantitative proficiency, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of real estate is a plus, although not required. Must possess a good attitude, be dedicated, have initiative and motivation, attention to detail, teamwork and professionalism. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Investment Sourcing: Assist acquisition effort and evaluate investments for CIM’s real estate equity, credit, and infrastructure investment platforms. Prepare Investment Committee memorandums and related support through market analysis and in-depth understanding of investment considerations.
Financial Analysis: Responsible for underwriting potential acquisition and development opportunities with the support of Associates.
Due Diligence: Manage the transaction due diligence and closing processes.
Asset Management: Monitor existing portfolio of investments.
