We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical investment professional to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in new investment underwriting, managing existing portfolio companies, and supporting the firm’s capital raising efforts.
Ultra Capital is a very small close-knit team of professionals. We are seeking an individual who can think critically, reliably operate without hierarchy, sustain a “get it done” attitude, and operate with a high degree of character. This individual will have the opportunity to assume a more senior role with the firm over time based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Transaction Execution: Support all aspects of deal execution including due diligence, financial modeling, valuation, structuring, and documentation.
- Automation leadership: Undertake the role of “AI automation guru” within the organization and with portfolio companies.
- Financial Modeling: Build and maintain detailed project and corporate-level financial models to evaluate investment opportunities and support decision-making.
- Market Research & Analysis: Conduct sector and company-specific research to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in the sector.
- Investment Committee Materials: Prepare investment memos, presentations, and supporting documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Portfolio Monitoring: Assist in the ongoing management of portfolio companies, including performance tracking, reporting, and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant experience (power/renewables development, private equity, investment banking, or a similar analytical role). Industry knowledge and experience preferred.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, self-starter, and ability to work independently within a small organization
- Strong proficiency in Excel-based financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Demonstrated experience supporting transaction execution, including due diligence and deal structuring.
- Familiarity with tax equity, debt financing, and capital stack structuring in renewable energy projects is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
