You’ve worked on your resume and clarified your career goals. Now how can you gain momentum in your Dirt Road internship or full-time job search as an international student? For those seeking U.S.-based non-Highway opportunities, the search can feel much more challenging compared to Highway pursuits where companies have straightforward visa sponsorship programs. You’re not alone, and hearing from Sloanies who have successfully conducted a Dirt Road search is one of the best ways to learn what works and what doesn’t. This is a chance to ask questions to second year students and alumni who obtained internships and full-time roles off the Highway path. They’ve been in your shoes and shared your challenges, and now they’re eager to help you learn from their experiences. Panelists include: Ines Iberico, Teresa Morais Leitao, Sebastian Rojas Restrepo, Jess Singh, Vaishnav Sunil, and Andres Garza Villarreal. You’ll gain insights into:
- What actions and resources were key to their searches
- How they overcame their biggest challenges
- How they navigated the immigration landscape and conversations with employers
