Throughout your time at MIT Sloan, the CDO’s dedicated MFin Career Advising Team provides personalized career advising and support as you pursue your career goals. Our MFin Career Advisors also lead classes during Career Core, in addition to targeted workshops throughout the MFin Program, to help you define your goals, refine job search skills, prepare for interviews, and accept an offer.

Laura Angoff
Sr. Associate Director, MFin Career Development
Bio: Like many MFins, Laura was a double major in Applied Mathematics and Economics in her undergraduate studies, which naturally led her to launch her career on Wall Street as a quantitiave equity research analyst. While her background is rooted in investment management, she has also has experience in sales & trading, private equity, and corporate finance. After a decade in the financial services industry, Laura joined MIT Sloan from Goldman Sachs to support MFin students in their career development. During her 10 years at Sloan, Laura has coached hundreds of MFin students on career strategy and development. Her areas of expertise include complex recruiting situations, offers, and negotiations. Carrie Champigny Cabezas

Bio: As a coach, Carrie thrives on supporting her students to make sure they are prepared and confident to execute a thoughtful job search as a competitive candidate. Carrie started her career in finance and spent 12 years in wealth and asset management. Additionally, prior to joining MIT Sloan, she managed career education and industry relations for a quantitative finance masters program. She understands the demands of the industry and the challenges of a job search for international students, and is excited to support students in achieving success as they start their careers. Maggie Luo
Associate Director, MFin Career Development
Bio: With extensive expertise in global job search strategies, career exploration, and personalized guidance, Maggie provides comprehensive support to Master of Finance students.
Before joining MIT Sloan, Maggie served as a lead career coach for over eight years, assisting more than 500 international students with their global job searches. Drawing on her own experience as an international student turned professional, Maggie offers valuable insights into best practices for cross-cultural competency development, as well as the common challenges and effective strategies for navigating global job searches, particularly in the finance field.
