Support for Our Community During Challenging Times

In the past weeks, President Reif and Dean Schmittlein have written to our community to express concern about the Russian invasion and to share support for students, staff, and faculty personally impacted by these events.

We are sharing these important resources highlighted by Dean Schmittlein in his message last week:

If you or someone you know needs support in the face of this deeply distressing situation, know that MIT offers services for students and for faculty and staff. Many teams at MIT Sloan, including Student Life; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; and Human Resources, are also prepared to help those who are struggling, and I appreciate their willingness to do so. Finally, the Priscilla King Gray Public Service Center at MIT has compiled a list of ways that you can consider supporting humanitarian efforts in Ukraine here.

The last two years have shown us the value of the resilient and supportive MIT Sloan community. It’s important to be mindful of the impact of this distressing event on members of our community and support one another. We encourage you to reach out to the teams above if you have questions or need support; and please know we are also here to help if you need assistance navigating MIT’s resources for support.

For those seeking ways to support the humanitarian effort, we hope you will consider the options provided by the Priscilla King Gray Public Service Center at MIT.

Thank you,
The CDO Team
